Aimee Grundell is 35 years old and lives in Hebden Bridge. Aimee does not describe herself as one single thing, she is one could say a master of many crafts. She is currently the founder, creative director, production director, and many of things of AG Studios.
AG Studios is comprised of a team of artists, engineers, programmers, printers, designers and doers and focuses on solving problems in a creative way.
The company does quite a few different works, one of Aimee’s mottos being to say yes to any challenge.
From the projects she presented, one of my favourite works done by Aimee was the Holidays Easter Campaign.

The first job Aimee has as a freelancer, was a brief to create twelve interactive pieces along a woodland track at Lotherton Hall National Trust Site that tell the story of the 12 Days of Christmas. Aimee discussed all the problems encountered throughout this project, and how she went about solving them.
Some of the advice given during this lecture was to say yes to every project to start with, the more skills and contacts made the better, to continue learning and to collaborate and learn to work with people who ‘irritate’ you.
In this lecture, the importance of exploring several different fields and areas of design was stressed. Aimee is an artist with a wide range of work in several different areas. This interview was given in a very casual tone of voice which I found to be quite fun.
Overall, it was a very educational lecture that I really enjoyed and was very appreciative of the opportunity to listen to.
