Looking into the Work of Devin Elle Kurtz

Devin Elle Kurtz is a digital and traditional illustrator who specialises in drawing animations and background environments. I first came across her work on social media, throughout the years I kept recognising her art style on drawings that would appear on my Instagram feed or my Twitter timeline.

She is someone whose work I really admire, the composition of each of her illustrations, the beautiful colour palettes and highlights. She is also someone who loves teaching young artists, being young herself, she constantly shares resources that could help those who follow her better their art.

She has shared the PSD file for some of her drawings, to allow people to see how she lays down everything and what her process is. It was very interesting to see it. How each layer works with each other and how she also uses the tools like changing the blending mode of a layer to add complexity to her drawings. I learned a lot it, personally.
