Raw for Paw was a company created for the module of Design Management Production. The inspiration for this company came from wanting to feed raw food for my own dog since I do believe it is a healthier and more natural way of feeding in comparison to what is common to feed dogs which is kibble. This started out as a group project, before we diverged and went our own ways. Working in a group can both be easy and difficult. It is always better to have people to discuss how everything is going to progress that are working on the same thing as you. As well as having several different group members to split the work with, as opposed to doing everything on your own. I would say as a group we worked very well, everyone was always available and we all answered each other’s doubts when they serviced.
After the presentation was done, the individual work to create branding guidelines for the company created began.
The first concern was to develop a logo for the company, being completely honest, creating logos is something that I struggle with. It simply does not come to me naturally, so I started by looking at what other similar companies do with their own to try to find inspiration for mine.
After a lot of hours playing on Adobe Illustrator I finally came up with a logo.
The next step was to show how this brand would look like in actual physical product, and in that way create a brand identity. This was by far the part of this entire brief that I had most fun with. I was looking to create a product that looked modern but also reliable and familiar.
I created several different things from the packaging that the food would come in to the little packaging of treats that the “clients” would be able to buy on the supposed website.
